Methodology and assumptions
Gateway cost = gateways × billed hours × $0.045, plus processed GB × $0.045. Standard data transfer, cross-AZ traffic, public IPv4, taxes, and discounts are excluded. AWS bills each partial gateway-hour as a full hour.
The scenario table shows how the bill changes if part of the processed traffic is Amazon S3 or DynamoDB traffic moved to a VPC gateway endpoint; AWS documents that gateway endpoints have no hourly or data-processing charge (AWS gateway endpoints).
