Methodology and assumptions
AWS = gateways × hours × gateway rate + processed GB × data rate. GCP = min(VMs, 32) × hours × per-VM rate + external IPs × hours × IP rate + processed GiB × data rate, for one Cloud NAT gateway. The AWS rate is the published US East (Ohio) example. On AWS, S3 and DynamoDB traffic can bypass NAT through free gateway endpoints. AWS publishes per-GB rates and Google Cloud per-GiB rates; both are applied to the same entered quantity. This is a unit-rate scenario, not a claim of feature equivalence. Architecture, availability, performance, discounts, ancillary services, and regional behavior can materially change the result.
