Model retained artifacts and downloads
Artifact Registry pricing includes storage, data transfer, and supported vulnerability scanning. Google provides 0.5 GiB-month free per billing account, then storage is billed from average retained artifacts. Virtual repositories do not store artifacts themselves; upstream repositories do.
If repositories average 200 GiB for a month, subtract only the documented billing-account free allowance before applying the current storage rate. Then add downloads that leave the repository by location and destination. Pulls to a runtime in the same location can have different treatment from internet or cross-region downloads.
Use the Artifact Registry Cost Calculator for billable storage GiB-months after the allowance. It excludes transfer and scanning, so calculate those from Google’s relevant pricing tables.
