Methodology and assumptions
Worked example: 2 t3.medium instances × 730 hours × $0.0416 per instance-hour = $60.74 monthly for compute. Compute cost = instance count × billed hours × the selected hourly rate. This estimate excludes storage, data transfer, public IPv4, CPU-credit, tax, and negotiated discount charges. Currency is calculated in integer millionths of a US dollar, then displayed to cents.
